Project Based Learning
Project Based Learning is exactly what it sounds like. It means that students learn while working on a project. What you might not realize, though, is that there is a distinct difference between participating in Project Based Learning and completing traditional projects. We often think of projects as creating a product that proves what we've learned, but in Project Based Learning the focus is on the learning process and not the end product.
There is a chart included in the TeachThought article "The Difference Between Projects and Project-Based Learning" that does an excellent job of detailing these differences.
